Tour de Addo, a unique Mountain Bike event staged in the mighty Addo Elephant National Park, some 1640 km2 in size. Addo is host to magnificent game life including the Big 7.
The ride, which is not a race, will see a limited field of 35 riders tackle a 3-day mountain bike experience using our Glamping site, in the heart of the Addo Elephant National Park. Due to the nature of the terrain and the wildlife the group is accompanied by armed rangers with a lead and sweep vehicle to ensure safe passage for all.
The Ride is a true social affair with daily distances ranging from 25km to 50km per day. Adding to the social ride is the wonderful tented village offering luxury tents with comfy bedding, exquisite cuisine, game walks, star spotting, and wonderful talks in the evening by some fascinating characters.
E-Bikes are more than welcome and there will be capacity to move batteries on the ride and charge bikes in the evenings. As we always have a game drive vehicle with us, the option to load your bike up and rest the legs is always available. So don’t let the distances scare you, anybody can make it as we have plenty of support following the group at all times.
